Explore ways to track construction updates

A prototype exploring how construction updates could move from WhatsApp chats into a project dashboard.

Site OS explores how project updates might be brought into one working view. The first example follows a school construction project.

A conversation-led construction prototype

  1. Project updates
  2. A shared project view
  3. Progress and coordination

This describes the prototype direction. It is still in development.

Start with project updates

The prototype explores a WhatsApp-first assistant that can inform a project view.

Review progress in a dashboard

A companion dashboard explores how project progress and coordination could be easier to follow. This is not a released service.

How we built it.

Site OS is an early construction coordination prototype. Its source separates a project dashboard from the service that will organise the project’s records.

A dashboard with a project context

The prototype pairs a React dashboard with a Node.js service and MongoDB. It brings project records into a shared structure, with room for updates, decisions and the work that follows. It is still an early prototype, rather than a released construction management service.

A conversation-led direction

The intended entry point is a WhatsApp-first assistant paired with the web dashboard. The repository documents that design direction separately from implementation. The case study presents it as a prototype: existing application structure is evidence of development, while the wider coordination service still needs its own acceptance and release work.
